Job summary

Power Electronics in Greenville, MS is looking for a Field Service Technician to service utility-scale solar and battery inverter systems. You will lead start-up, commissioning, configuration, and field repairs, with travel across the United States as needed.

Applicants should hold a Journeyman or Master Electrician license and an associate or bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics engineering or a related field, with 2–3 years in field service, commissioning, or maintenance of industrial

Qualifications

Journeyman or Master Electrician license required.
2–3 years in field service, commissioning, or maintenance of industrial electrical equipment.
Experience with solar inverters and MV equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform start-up and commissioning of solar inverters at photovoltaic plants.
Configure and operate systems according to specifications.
Diagnose and repair inverter faults in the field.
Replace components such as MV transformers, switchgear, electronic boards, fuses, fans, and filters.
Conduct preventive maintenance and software/hardware updates.
Follow safety procedures and warranty protocols.
Submit accurate daily field reports detailing work performed and time spent.
Complete expense reports and maintain inventory of assigned parts.
Provide technical assistance and ensure customer satisfaction.
Maintain company property including vehicle, tools, devices, and PPE.
Ensure proper installation of wiring and connections (Layer 1).
Travel across the U.S. as required for operational needs.
