Field Service Technician, Raleigh NC

Description

Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of golf cars, utility and personal transportation vehicles, snowmobiles, side-by-sides, all-terrain vehicles, professional turf-care equipment, and ground support equipment. Textron Specialized Vehicles markets products under several brands. Its vehicles are found in environments ranging from golf courses to factories, airports to planned communities, and theme parks to hunting preserves.

Responsibilities:

1. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and gasoline golf cars, industrial vehicles, and turf vehicles in the field.
2. Perform product deliveries, retrievals, and set-ups to ensure continuous service and maintenance of accounts.
3. Proactively manage service schedules and communicate changes with customers to maintain peak efficiency and high customer satisfaction.
4. Produce accurate and timely work orders, parts orders, delivery reports, timesheets, and other required paperwork.
5. Communicate sales leads and customer feedback to relevant parties including the service manager, technical representative, or sales professional.
6. Manage and maintain all assigned company equipment, including inventory, tools, company vehicle, and trailer.
7. Train new employees to ensure they are well-equipped with necessary skills and knowledge.
8. Comply with all state and local laws while operating the company vehicle.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification/diploma preferred.

Experience: At least 6 years of mechanical experience; previous experience servicing golf cars is preferred.

Ability to pass E-Z-GO Platinum Diagnostic Certification.

Must possess a valid driver's license and comply with TSV Pool, Fleet, and DOT policies.
