Role Overview

As a Field Service Technician, you will play a vital role in Carl Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions, LLC. Your responsibilities include installation, servicing, and troubleshooting of high-tech equipment, interacting with customers and internal teams, and supporting R&D activities related to design and testing. You will also assist in system assembly and setup during various production stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, troubleshoot, service, and calibrate high-tech machines at customer locations.
• Provide excellent customer service with passion and dedication.
• Learn and operate high-tech Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), utilizing mechanical and electronic skills.
• Complete administrative tasks accurately and timely.
• Work independently in a high-pressure, innovative environment.
• Travel 90-100% within the service area, including international travel as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• AS/BS in Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, Military Technical School training, or 2-4 years related experience.
• Experience with hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft operating systems.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted.
• Willingness to work at least 50 hours per week, including overtime.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience installing and troubleshooting industrial electronics or machines.
• Experience with CMM installation and troubleshooting (preferred but not required).
