Job summary

Schneider Electric’s Field Service Representatives play a pivotal role in installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment for power distribution and critical infrastructure. This is a site-based role in the U.S. with some nonstandard hours and travel possibilities.

New hires receive comprehensive product and digital tools training, a paid 8-week training program in Dallas, TX, and ongoing mentoring to ensure a solid onboarding journey.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or trade certification in electrical disciplines.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Knowledge of AC/DC power and switchgear components.
• 2+ years field service repair and customer service with UPS.
• 2+ years in Field Services or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Pre-site, startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modification of equipment.
• Problem solving with customers, electricians, sales partners, technical support, District Service teams.
• Completion of field service reports, expense reports, preventive maintenance, and startup data sheets.
• Working with your Manager and/or Regional Service Director to resolve complex escalated issues.
• Continuous learning and training on various products both in the field and in the classroom.
