Job summary

IPS Packaging & Automation is seeking a Service Technician to join the Mauldin, SC team. The role covers field service installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair for customer equipment, with responsibilities including troubleshooting and supporting sales calls for new and existing customers.

Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of technical service experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

2+ years of technical service experience.
PC proficiency in Microsoft-based programs and internet skills.
Strong interpersonal, time management, and communication skills.
Ability to fill out all service reports and inspection checklists properly and completely.
Ability to deal with a variety of customers in a highly professional and diplomatic manner.
Self-starter and motivated to work independently.
Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Field service installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair for equipment at customer sites.
Troubleshoot, repair machines, and assist in joint sales calls for new/existing customers.
Support planned maintenance programs and service vehicle inventories.
Work with sales on recommending new equipment solutions.
Maintain accurate service reports and inspections.
