Job summary

Tennant Company is seeking a Field Mechanic to support customers in Indianapolis, IN. You will diagnose issues, perform maintenance, and repair battery, engine‑powered, and robotic Tennant products at customer sites.

The role requires 3+ years of engine and systems repair, use of hand and power tools, and strong communication with customers. A valid driver’s license is required and the position is on‑site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years troubleshooting and repairing engines (LP, Diesel, or Gas).
• Experience with mechanical and electrical systems and using tools/diagnostic devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and resolve complex problems by troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems on Tennant products.
• Own your territory, plan daily schedule, and communicate service expectations and timelines with customers.
• Create and maintain records of all service activities and business reporting documentation.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of company property, vehicle, tools, and inventory.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and field support to ensure success.
