Job summary

Tennant Company is hiring a Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair battery, engine-powered, and robotic Tennant products at customer sites in the United States. You will travel to sites, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and communicate service needs and timelines to customers.

Responsibilities include owning your territory, maintaining service records, and collaborating with sales, customer service, and technical teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and Tennant policy compliance.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience: troubleshooting and repairing combustion engines (LP, Diesel, or Gas).
• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
• Using hand and power shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
• Using a personal computer, MS Office Suite, and email.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and resolve complex problems by troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems and combustion engine problems on Tennant products and competitors' models.
• Own your territory and plan daily schedule, including contacting customers to schedule service activities and communicating timelines and expectations.
• Create and maintain records of all service activities and reporting documents.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of Tennant property, vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support service success.
