Job summary

FAST Global Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician to support installation, startup, and on-site maintenance for customer equipment in Glenwood, MN. This is a full-time, on-site position that requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and clear customer communication.

You will document service actions, provide training to customers, and coordinate with engineering and support teams.

Qualifications

Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, HMI, PLC and electricity.

Responsibilities

Provides installation support to customers and integrators assisting in machine operation, mechanical debugging, and electrical troubleshooting.
Provides onsite machine level training including theory of operation and mechanical maintenance.
Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
Follows written procedures for troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.
Provides technical phone support and follows through until problem is resolved; coordinates with engineering/operations/customer service to expedite repairs.
Reviews service handbooks and bulletins based on field investigations and engineering changes for customer support.
Understands blueprints, sketches, schematics, drawings, part lists, and specifications for customer support.
Assists in executing engineering test plans for R&D projects.
Enters and updates CRM cases.
Supports assembly as needed.
