Job summary

TDS Telecom is seeking a Field Service Technician in the Coeur d'Alene area. You will perform on-site installations, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain telecom products, while engaging customers and identifying solutions.

The role requires driving within 60 minutes of Spokane/Post Falls, occasional travel, on-call duties, and overtime. Training schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm PT, with after training hours of Wednesday-Saturday 8:00am-7:00pm PT.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel and be on-call with overtime.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Demonstrated customer service and sales skills.
• Experience with troubleshooting and on-site installations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with on-site installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of telecom products.
• Identify defective cable and locate facilities; perform cable fault tests.
• Provide troubleshooting support and respond to trouble dispatches.
• Educate customers and sell TDS products and services.
• Gain knowledge of RUS standards and grounding practices.
