Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a Field Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment at customer sites across North America. You will lead on-site diagnostics, perform precision repairs, and oversee overhauls of industrial rotating equipment, working with the latest tools and following strict safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, and pumps, and can read precision instruments and blueprints.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, or similar rotating industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose mechanical failures in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills for customer-facing work.
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable record; willingness to work on-call, overtime, and weekends.
• Experience with PdMA testing or Level I Vibration Analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site diagnostics, precision repairs, and overhauls of industrial rotating equipment.
• Perform laser alignments, critical clearances, and inspections using precision tools.
• Replace bearings, gearboxes, and torque-critical components with specialized tooling.
• Conduct diagnostics with portable electronic equipment (Megger, PdMA MCE, Multimeter, DLRO).
• Maintain safety standards and collaborate with teams to meet project goals.
