Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and overhaul industrial rotating equipment on-site at customer locations. You will travel and deliver exceptional service, working with advanced tools and collaborating with experienced technicians.

Responsibilities include precise assembly/alignment, reading precision instruments, conducting tests with Megger, PdMA MCE, DLRO, and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience with rotating industrial equipment (motors, gearboxes, pumps).
• Ability to read precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment.
• Excellent customer-facing communication.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record; willingness to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation and removal of AC/DC motors and coupled equipment; perform laser alignments to OEM specs.
• Use precision tools to diagnose wear and verify tolerances.
• Replace bearings, gearboxes, and torque-critical components.
• Perform diagnostic tests using Megger, PdMA MCE, Multimeter, and DLRO.
• Clean and prep electro-mechanical equipment using bead/ice blasting and solvents.
• Adhere to safety standards and work independently or in a team.
