Job summary

Specialty Coating Systems, Inc. is hiring a Tech Support Specialist I to assist customers with installation and post-sales support for our equipment. You will work onsite at our Indianapolis facility and travel to customer sites as needed.

The role requires an educational certificate or equivalent training, strong electrical knowledge, and the ability to read schematics. You will collaborate with internal teams and ensure safe, effective operation of equipment.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training.
• Passport and valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Proficient in documenting and communicating with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, start-up, training, retrofit, diagnostic and repair of customer equipment.
• Travel 25%–50% domestically and internationally; maintain adherence to travel policies.
• Provide on-site installation and training assistance; support equipment maintenance.
• Host customers during acceptance testing and ensure successful operation.
• Prepare and issue return authorizations for returned goods as needed.
• Care for safety policies and work with cross-functional teams.
