Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Field Service Technician to support fuel cell systems installed in electric lift trucks, performing preventive maintenance and resolving breakdowns at a specified location. This person will also report breakdown events, order parts, and maintain site documentation.

The role requires mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience, a valid driver license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid driver license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Technical electrical coursework completed.
• Experience operating and maintaining lift trucks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and evaluate to keep the fleet at a location operational.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Provide on-call and emergency support as required.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support.
