Job summary

Plug Power Inc. in the United States is seeking a Field Service Technician to support fuel cell products installed in electric lift trucks.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose breakdowns, install and service fuel cells at customer sites, report issues, order parts, and maintain systems. The role requires strong technical, communication, and interpersonal skills, willingness to travel, and ability to work independently while upholding safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with electrical coursework.
• 3+ years of direct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Valid driver''s license and ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting and fleet evaluations.
• Execute field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades.
• Provide on-call and emergency support as required.
• Order tools, equipment, and parts for service.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers; ensure safety and reports.
