Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain and service fuel cells in customer sites, perform diagnostics, field retrofits, and on-site repairs for electric lift trucks, while ensuring safety and reliability.

The role requires a high school diploma with technical electrical coursework and 3+ years of troubleshooting experience, a valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 pounds, and strong communication skills; travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess a valid driver license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation is preferred.
• Computer skills: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations for fleet at a location.
• Field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Provide on-call and emergency support to customers.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for service as required.
• Travel to customer sites; maintain safety and professional conduct.
• Report issues to regional service representatives and maintain documentation.
