Job summary

IPG is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment at customer locations. You will ensure uptime, support production needs, and deliver high-quality service in the field with hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
• Experience diagnosing electrical and electromechanical faults at customer sites.
• Strong mechanical skills for disassembly, repair, and reassembly of components.
• Packaging automation systems experience is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, repair, and preventive maintenance on IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations.
• Diagnose issues using testing tools and technical documentation; provide on-the-job training as needed.
• Establish and execute Preventive Maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Document service actions, submit expense and trip reports, and maintain accurate service records.
• Travel up to 30% of the work week and support field service operations as needed.
