Job Summary

Visual Edge IT is looking to add a talented copier/printer technician to our team. The Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of client copiers and printers. This is a field‑based role that includes mandatory travel. A full training program is provided, along with a company vehicle. Candidates should be mechanically inclined and possess strong customer‑service skills.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maximize equipment uptime by responding quickly and completing effective, efficient repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure proper functioning of copiers, printers, and related devices.
• Diagnose technical issues using customer feedback, electronic data, and observations.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through clear communication and dependable service.
• Partner with clients, sales teams, and internal staff to meet deadlines and ensure smooth operations.
• Accurately complete service documentation, including parts usage, call closures, and meter readings.
• Provide feedback to improve processes and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Travel as required by assignments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills.
• Prior experience servicing office equipment (copiers and printers) preferred; experience with Xerox, Ricoh, Kyocera, or HP is a plus.
• An associate degree or higher in electronics or electrical engineering preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of networking and computer systems.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (must meet company vehicle eligibility requirements).
