Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install and service instrumentation in regulated environments. You will travel 60% with 1-2 overnight stays weekly, maintain vehicles and tools, and ensure documentation meets GMP standards.

The role requires 3+ years fixing instruments, a valid driver’s license, and experience with medical device instruments. MS Office proficiency and strong customer interfacing are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum a High School diploma.
• At least 3 years’ experience fixing instruments or components.
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
• Previous Field Service Engineer experience.
• Experience repairing medical device instruments.
• Customer interfacing experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Familiarity with Mac and PC operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and service instrumentation per ISO and GMP standards.
• Perform follow-up calls to customers after service.
• Maintain car stock, tools, and technical data.
• Complete service documentation per GMP requirements.
• Keep travel expenses within guidelines.
• Report quality and technical issues to management.
• Maintain and use company vehicle per policy.
• Collaborate with departments to resolve problems.
• Promote high-quality service in line with BD standards.
• Travel 60% with 1-2 overnight stays weekly.
