Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install and service instrumentation across Philadelphia, Upstate NY, NJ and NY Metro area. You will perform service with minimal supervision while ensuring ISO and GMP standards are met.

You will also conduct follow-up calls, manage inventory and documentation, and collaborate with engineering teams. Expect roughly 60% travel with 1–2 overnight stays weekly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School diploma.
• 3+ years’ experience fixing instruments or components.
• Valid Driver's License with clean MVR.
• Prior Field Service Engineer experience.
• Experience fixing medical device instruments.
• Customer interfacing role.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Familiarity with Mac/PC operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and service instrumentation per ISO and GMP standards with minimal supervision.
• Provide follow-up service by contacting customers after service.
• Maintain car stock inventory, test equipment, tools and data.
• Complete service documentation per GMP requirements.
• Manage field travel expenses within policy guidelines.
• Report quality control and technical problems to management.
• Maintain and utilize company vehicle per policy.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer issues.
• Represent BD with professional appearance and behavior.
• Travel approximately 60% with 1–2 overnight stays per week.
