Job summary

Hommel-Etamic is seeking a Service Technician to provide hands-on and remote technical support for its high-tech metrology systems. You will install, program, calibrate, train customers, and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical equipment across North America and internationally.

The role requires a strong problem-solving mindset, excellent communication, and the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics. A valid driver’s license and passport are needed for travel.

Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED required; technical diploma preferred.
College education in a related field is a plus.
3-5 years in industrial/manufacturing environment recommended.

Responsibilities

Install, program, calibrate, maintain and repair measuring systems.
Train customers in operation, programming and maintenance.
Program and run customer-specific applications.
Troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems.
Perform periodic maintenance and calibrations at customer facilities across North America and internationally.
Adhere to company policies and daily time/expense reporting.
Work to a budget and meet deadlines.
