Job summary

Numotion is hiring a Service Technician to diagnose and repair complex manual and powered wheelchairs and other essential medical equipment. You will work both in the shop and in the field, ensuring safety, reliability, and readiness for users who depend on this equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of mechanical experience, and proficiency with hand and power tools. Travel to various locations and a valid driver’s license are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or minimum one year of related experience.
• Minimum of two years of relevant mechanical experience; medical equipment experience preferred.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools for equipment repair.
• Basic computer skills: Word processing, Email and Internet for documentation and communication.
• Valid State Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record; travel to locations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment in the shop and in the field; obtain quotes as needed.
• Maintain rental and stock equipment; keep in good working order.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe shop/warehouse environment.
• Maintain delivery vehicles in safe operating condition and clean.
• Receive, store, and ship parts; ensure accurate inventory tracking.
• Complete documentation thoroughly and timely, including signatures and reports.
• Educate customers and caregivers on proper use, care, and safety of equipment.
• Perform minor fittings and adjustments for user comfort.
• Follow safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
• Participate in in-service training to stay updated on industry practices.
