Job summary

Duravant is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform client-site installations, commissioning, and preventive maintenance for its lifecycle services. You will troubleshoot PLCs, servo drives, and HMIs while documenting activities for continuous improvement.

The role requires a strong mechanical and electrical background, travel up to 80%, and a HS diploma with preferred Mechatronics/EE credentials. Local Chicagoland-area applicants preferred.

Qualifications

• Field service roles involve installations, commissioning and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics for service.
• Experience with PLCs and servo drives is highly preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% across regional/national/international locations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field service calls at customer sites for installations and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues and calibrate PLCs and HMIs.
• Document service activities accurately and timely.
• Provide feedback to quality engineering for improvements.
• Collaborate in cross-training with other Duravant companies.
