Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Service Technician I to support Instrument, Fire, and Respiratory services within the Vallen Safety Services group. You will perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on safety equipment for established customers on a scheduled basis.

You will handle service calls, document work, and ensure compliance with OSHA/NFPA standards while delivering excellent customer service in the field.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 certification (manufacturer/state).
• Minimum 1 year related experience.
• Must have TWIC Card and Basic Safety Council Card.
• Mechanically inclined and able to read/understand English.
• Experience with inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of safety equipment.
• Hold current motor vehicle license with good driving record; CDL if hazardous materials are carried.

Responsibilities

• Perform service calls and inspections of life safety equipment.
• Identify equipment discrepancies and document findings.
• Prepare Technician Worksheets (TWS) and reports accurately and timely.
• Repair and service equipment such as fire extinguishers, hoses, gas detectors, respirators, fall protection, showers and eyewash units.
• Maintain documentation for invoicing and ensure customers have required copies.
• Adhere to OSHA, NFPA, and Vallen SOPs; read and follow safety guidelines.
• Assist warehouse with receiving, order fulfilment and inventory checks as needed.
• Maintain company assets and assist in field operations.
