Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Service Technician I focused on Instrument, Fire, and Respiratory services in the Vallen Safety Services group. You will perform inspections, testing, maintenance and repairs on life safety equipment for established customers on a scheduled basis.

The role requires compliance with regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPA) and safe work practices. You will also assist in shipping, receiving, and basic warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 Certifications (manufacturer /state) required.
• Minimum 1 year related experience.
• Must have TWIC Card and Basic Safety Council Card.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Experience in Inspection, Testing, Maintenance and Repair of Safety Equipment.
• Valid motor vehicle license; CDL required if carrying hazardous materials.
• Proficient with hand tools.
• Able to complete repairs and maintenance of equipment in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist warehouse personnel with order fulfillment if needed.
• Maintain minimum productivity of 80% within 60 days.
• Keep all certifications and licenses current and renewed by continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct service calls.
• Identify equipment discrepancies.
• Prepare accurate and timely Technician Worksheets (TWS) and reports.
• Provide customer service in Inspecting, Testing, Maintenance and Repairs of Life Safety Equipment.
• Ensure testing and repair documentation is complete for invoicing.
• Ensure customer has all required documentation after servicing equipment.
• Adhere to State, OSHA, NFPA and Vallen SOP requirements.
