Job summary

ARC Document Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician to repair and maintain large and small format machines at customer sites and ARC offices in Seattle, Washington. You will diagnose issues, install equipment, and coordinate with dispatch to manage daily service calls.

The role requires a high school diploma (associate degree preferred) and 1–2 years of field experience with large format printers. Travel within the Greater Seattle area is required; a strong service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of related field experience in technical managed print services/facilities.
• Experience with Oce, Canon, HP and Xerox equipment preferred but not required.
• Copier/plotter repair experience preferred.
• Ability to travel within the Greater Seattle area.
• Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install large and small format machines and accessories to full operational readiness.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain large and small format hardware and software per manufacturer specs.
• Record service calls, materials used and resolutions in Fleet Manager.
• Coordinate with Service Manager and Service Dispatch for scheduling.
• Assist with new Facilities Management/MPS installations and removals.
• Participate in site visits and surveys at customer locations.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent service interruptions.
• Prepare operational reports for accuracy and efficiency.
• Travel to customer locations to install, maintain, and remove equipment.
• Respond to emergency service requests and propose solutions.
• Maintain departmental processes and suggest improvements.
• Continuously update knowledge through training and re-certification.
• Build strong relationships with customers and vendors.
• Provide customers with proactive communication regarding service issues.
