Job summary

The Field Service Technician will install, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of hardware at customer sites across diverse industries, including banking, education, and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Two or more years related experience and/or training.
• Able to attend training at Headquarters and/or outside schools to keep abreast of new technology and hardware product developments.
• Valid and current state Driver's License.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively under minimal supervision.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: ability to diagnose equipment operational errors and product failures; problem solving; attention to detail; good verbal communication with customers.
• Physical Demands: able to sit/stand, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and travel overnight 5-10%.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and/or replace computer hardware at customer locations per service agreements.
• Manage preventative maintenance schedules.
• Assist other territories and technicians; travel to other metropolitan areas as needed.
• Take ownership of meeting customers' business needs.
• Coordinate activities and seek assistance from technical support when appropriate.
• Provide updates and completion information to manager, sales, technical support, and customers.
• Manage parts inventory per guidelines.
• Submit required paperwork timely and completely.
• May train new technicians in on-the-job scenarios.
