Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Field Support Technician based in the Springfield, IL facility to support Depot activities and learn various product lines for Food. You will perform repairs, routine maintenance, and coordinate service inventory while interfacing with customers to confirm requirements.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, interpersonal skills and the ability to handle multiple repairs. Travel up to 33% and a driver’s license are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in a technical field or equivalent years of experience.
• Ability to work multiple repairs at same time.
• SQL Server experience to manage databases on instruments.
• Computer skills to navigate Outlook, Excel, Word, and ServiceMax.
• Travel up to 33% depending on territory and customer base.
• Valid driver’s license and safe motor vehicle operation.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers to follow up on Estimates.
• Provide phone and email support to customers.
• Complete preventative maintenance work in the field.
• Coordinate service inventory and supplies for the depot.
• Repack instruments after repair/maintenance for return to the customer.
• Complete setup of new instruments before shipping to customers, confirming requirements.
