Job summary

PerkinElmer’s Springfield, IL facility seeks a Field Support Technician to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on instruments in the Depot and in the field. You will interface with customers, manage service inventory, and coordinate instrument setups for shipment, with travel up to ~33% depending on territory.

The role requires an Associate Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience; strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork are essential for success in supporting

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent years of experience.
• Ability to work multiple repairs at same time.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers to follow up on Estimates.
• Provide phone and email support to customers.
• Complete preventative maintenance work in the field.
• Coordinate service inventory and supplies for the depot.
• Repack instruments after repair/maintenance for return to the customer.
• Complete setup of new instruments before shipping to customers, confirming all requirements with the customer.
