Job summary

Ecolab in Detroit, MI is seeking a Field Service Technician to deliver reliable service, installations, maintenance and issue resolution across Institutional accounts.

This field-based role requires travel to Detroit, Pontiac, Sterling Heights, and surrounding areas, with 10-hour shifts, including nights or weekends as needed.

You will join a safety-focused team with paid training, a company vehicle, and opportunities to grow your technical and customer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of service-related experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing equipment.
• Current and valid Driver’s License with no restrictions.
• NoImmigration Sponsorship available for this position.
• Availability to work overnight shifts and provide emergency call assistance which may occur at night, on weekends and over holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide service-intensive support to customers across the market.
• Install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on warewashing, laundry, dispensing equipment, and related systems.
• Complete emergency service requests, equipment changeouts, and other planned and unplanned work orders reliably and efficiently.
• Evaluate account conditions during each visit and proactively take action to help ensure customers meet Ecolab Brand Standards.
• Manage equipment, parts, and inventory to maintain a fully stocked vehicle, maximize effectiveness, and support first-time fix performance.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation for all work performed.
• Communicate Ecolab’s total value to customers and strengthen customer relationships.
• Partner with sales, distribution, and service teams to improve responsiveness, reduce friction, and deliver a consistent customer experience.
