Job summary

Ecolab is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team serving the Detroit, MI market. In this field-based role you will deliver consistent, high-quality service, installations, maintenance, and issue resolution for Institutional customers.

You will travel to customer sites, work overnight shifts, and use a company vehicle. Requirements include a high school diploma, 2 years of service experience, a valid driver’s license, and on-call emergency availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of service-related experience.
• Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
• No immigration sponsorship available for this position.
• Availability to work overnight shifts and provide emergency call assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide service-intensive support to customers across the market.
• Install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on warewashing, laundry, dispensing equipment, and related systems.
• Complete emergency service requests, equipment changeouts, and planned/unplanned work orders.
• Evaluate account conditions during visits and ensure brand standards are met.
• Manage equipment, parts, and inventory to maintain a stocked vehicle and support first-time fixes.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation for all work performed.
• Communicate Ecolab’s total value and strengthen customer relationships.
• Partner with sales, distribution, and service teams to improve responsiveness and experience.
