Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a Field Service Technician for our Product Inspection unit in San Antonio, TX. You will support Safeline X-Ray, Safeline Metal Detectors, Hi-Speed Checkweighers, or CI Vision systems through start-ups, maintenance, and training, ensuring safety and compliance with MT PI procedures.

You will travel up to 100% US with occasional international trips, handle on-site service calls, prepare detailed reports, and maintain equipment while building trusted relationships with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict management skills; knows when to seek assistance.
• Strong customer service focus with outstanding verbal and written communication.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience working under tight time constraints.
• Constant work around moving mechanical parts in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Satisfy all Safety Requirements for MT-PI and Customer Sites.
• Attend tier calls led by a Regional Service Manager.
• Efficiently execute scheduled service calls with cost and time awareness.
• Develop and maintain good customer relationships; become the trusted advisor.
• Identify root cause of service issues (first time fix).
• Submit service reports and documentation in a timely manner.
• Keep up with ongoing technical training; travel as required.
• Maintain company supplied equipment, tools, and inventory.
• Other duties as assigned.
