Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a Field Service Technician in Chicago to support installation, audits, maintenance, and repair of product inspection equipment. You will manage service calls, prepare reports, and maintain equipment while complying with safety rules.

The role requires strong problem solving, customer focus, and the ability to travel up to 100% with occasional long overtime. A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate degree or technical training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Strong problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to read blueprints and schematics; mechanical/electrical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide field service support for X-Ray, Metal Detectors, Checkweighers, or Vision machines.
• Attend and lead tier calls; coordinate with Dispatch and Management.
• Complete service reports, timesheets, and expense reports accurately.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory; follow MT PI procedures.
