Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a range of compressed air equipment at our southeast US Customer Center locations, including Greer, SC. The role requires weekend and weekday coverage with on-call duties and a strong physical capability.

You will troubleshoot and service rotary screw and reciprocating compressors, collaborate with parts and field teams, and train junior technicians while ensuring customer satisfaction and safety

Qualifications

• 2+ years of troubleshooting industrial/mechanical systems.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• On-call availability required, with first 90 days not on-call.
• Physically capable to perform typical field-service tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors.
• Collaborate with Service Coordinator to order parts and supplies.
• Assist and train apprentices and fellow technicians.
• Communicate effectively with customers and teammates in writing and verbally.
• Provide pre-commissioning, start-ups, and on-site repairs of compressed air systems.
