Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors across multiple sites. The role involves on-site engineering tasks, hands-on diagnostics, and collaboration with the service team to keep client equipment running at peak performance.

You will typically perform preventative maintenance, read wiring diagrams, and support start-ups and installations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience troubleshooting industrial/mechanical systems.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record within last 3–5 years.
• On-call required after 90 days; 24/7 coverage schedule.
• Physical role requiring lifting and movement per safety policy.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotary screw, reciprocating, Centac and ECC air compressors.
• Collaborate with Service Coordinator to order parts and supplies; train apprentices.
• Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers both verbally and in writing.
• Assist with pre-commissioning, start-ups, installations, and repairs of compressed air systems.
• Promote IR products and services (PMs, diagnostics, audits, leak detection) to customers.
