Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors and related equipment. The role focuses on hands-on diagnostics, use of precision tools, and strong problem-solving skills in a customer-facing environment.

Travel within a 3-hour radius is required, with a company vehicle provided. On-call duties are part of the schedule, and the position offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with clean record.
• Must be on-call, 24/7 availability during one-week blocks, within the schedule.
• Physically capable (lifting, bending, walking) per safety policy.
• High school diploma or equivalent; mechanic’s tool set required; specialty tools provided.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors and related components.
• Collaborate with Service Coordinator to order parts and assist apprentices.
• Communicate clearly with customers and co-workers; perform pre-commissioning and start-ups.
• Assist with training of junior technicians; support fleet maintenance and travel within service area.
