Job summary

Ingersoll Rand’s East Area Service Technician role involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining rotary screw, reciprocating, Centac and ECC air compressors and related components at customer sites. The technician uses precision tools for diagnostics and must understand operation manuals for all equipment.

The position requires field installation and repair knowledge, technical advisory ability, and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience troubleshooting industrial/mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of compressed air systems, centrifugal technologies, solid controls is a plus.
• Experience with service, diagnosis, and startup of rotary and centrifugal air compressors is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair equipment at customer sites.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of installation and repair requirements.
• Provide technical training to customers and field personnel.
• Diagnose problems and submit detailed reports for billing.
• Maintain clear written and oral communication for service work.
• Submit detailed and timely expense records and timecards weekly.
