Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotary screw and reciprocating compressors and related air systems. The role requires hands-on diagnostic work and strong knowledge of equipment manuals.

You will travel within a defined service area, report to the Service Department, and provide on-site support to customers while following safety policies. A valid driver’s license and a background in mechanical systems are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years+ experience of troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months with no major violations in the past 3 years.
• On-call responsibilities required, including a 90-day ramp period with no on-call duties.
• This position is highly physical and requires regular lifting and moving of weight in line with safety policy.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicates verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers.
• Provides technical assistance on equipment pre-commissioning and start-ups, installations, and repairs of compressed air systems; hands-on work to ensure equipment operates to spec with limited guidance.
• Increases customer awareness of Ingersoll Rand products, services, and solutions such as Preventative Maintenance, Diagnostics, Audits and Leak Detection.
• Collaborate with Service Coordinator on ordering and gathering parts and supplies to complete installations and repairs.
• Assist and train apprentices and Field Service Technicians.
