Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Service Technician in Fredericksburg, VA to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors and related components at customer sites.

You will diagnose issues using precision tools and leverage manuals to ensure accurate field service. The role requires strong customer service, safety, and documentation practices on every job.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ experience troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
• Experience with compressed air systems a plus.
• Knowledge of equipment manuals and installation/repair practices.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotary screw, reciprocating, and Centac air compressors at customer sites.
• Provide technical advice and train customers and field staff.
• Submit detailed service reports and time/expense records weekly.
• Maintain safety, integrity, and clear communication on site.
