Job summary

IEM is seeking a Field Service Technician Level II to perform start-up, commissioning, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and service for IEM equipment.

You will work in the field with customers, diagnose issues, and support Level I technicians, with travel to regional offices and vendor sites as needed. A related associate degree or equivalent experience is preferred, with 1+ years in switchgear start-up and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in power distribution systems preferred.
• 1+ years of experience supporting switchgear start-up and commissioning.
• Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform start-up, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, service, and repair of IEM equipment.
• Install and modify electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies per drawings.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with contractors, clients, PMs, and internal teams.
• Analyze system failures, identify root causes, and determine corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, control wiring, and networking.
• Document service activities, root cause analysis, actions, and follow-up items.
