Job summary

Canon USA is hiring for a Field Service Technician based in Omaha. The role focuses on diagnosing basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures and performing service and repair to Canon standards.

You will maintain knowledge across product groups, provide on‑site maintenance, and guide junior technicians. The position requires a HS Diploma or GED with 1–2 years related experience, willingness to travel, and the ability to work a 24/7 shift schedule.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments and the ability to complete the 120‑day introductory period and the PDIF new‑hire class.
• Must be able to travel (valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record).
• Capable of working in a 24/7 environment with shift work and on‑call rotations.
• Must obtain security and/or other clearances as required by customers.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 percent of the time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain working knowledge of multiple product groups, including basic troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Meet and exceed customer demands by providing efficient, responsive, and accurate field/sh Shop/on‑site maintenance.
• Maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property.
• Provide direction to less experienced technicians.
• Provide solutions for escalated technical and/or customer service problems for any territory requested.
