Job summary

Quadient is seeking a Field Technician II to install, service, and upgrade equipment at customer sites, diagnosing issues and guiding customers on operation and maintenance.

You will configure hardware and embedded software after installation, perform routine maintenance, and keep customers informed during downtime. This role requires travel up to 100% and strong teamwork with engineering and sales.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of Customer Service or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of electrical/mechanical installation, troubleshooting, and repair experience.
• Ability to read technical diagrams, manuals and schematics.
• Ability to diagnose and repair base to mid level equipment and communicate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Install, service or upgrade equipment onsite at customer locations.
• Diagnose technical issues and troubleshoot to ensure proper operation of equipment and controls.
• Provide training and guidance to customers on operation and maintenance.
• Configure hardware and embedded software components after installation.
• Perform routine maintenance and test equipment to troubleshoot issues.
• Keep clients updated during maintenance or down-system situations.
• Maintain tools and equipment used during service calls.
• Mentor/train junior technicians and collaborate with sales/tech teams.
• Manage stock of replacement parts and equipment and travel to sites as needed.
