Job summary

Enerflex Ltd in the United States seeks a Field Service Technician II to perform maintenance, installation and commissioning of gas compressor packages in the field. You will learn from senior techs, diagnose engine and control issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support startups under limited supervision.

Travel is expected, including nights and weekends, with emphasis on safety and quality. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 5+ years of related experience; CAT/Waukesha

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational/technical experience preferred.
• 5+ years of applicable field experience.
• Understanding of CAT GERP and similar OEM software.
• Experience on a wide range of natural gas compressor packages; knowledge of controls and adjustments.
• CAT/Waukesha certifications are preferred (Gas I/II, 3500 ADEM III/IV, 3500 ULB/J).

Responsibilities

• Submit accurate field service and expense reports daily.
• Provide basic leadership and mentoring to junior techs.
• Diagnose engine/compressor failures efficiently.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new units.
• Perform diagnostics and repairs on compressors, engines and controls in the field.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and unit control panels.
• Be available for on-call rotation and emergency repairs.
• Travel may be extensive, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
