Job summary

Enerflex Ltd. seeks a Field Service Technician I for maintenance of gas compression packages, learning from experienced techs, and assisting in diagnostics, repairs, installation and commissioning of both gas-fired and electric-driven packages.

Travel up to with nights/weekends, on-call rotations, and the opportunity to progress to Field Service Technician II after gaining proficiency; strong safety awareness and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational/technical experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of applicable field experience required.
• Understanding of Caterpillar Gas Engine Rating Pro (GERP) and similar OEM software.
• Experience with natural gas compressor packages; grasp of theory, components, controls, and adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Submit accurate field service reports and expense reports daily.
• Provide basic leadership and training to new technicians.
• Diagnose engine/compressor failures accurately and efficiently.
• Assist and conduct installation of new units including commissioning and start‑up inspections.
• Perform mechanical inspection with micrometers and diagnostic tools; work in adverse conditions.
• Be available for call‑outs and emergency repairs; travel may be extensive, including nights and weekends.
