Job summary

ABB is seeking a Field Service Technician II to lead start-up, commissioning, and post-start field services primarily in the data center market across the United States. You will travel extensively, perform medium to high complexity service work, and uphold ABB safety and quality standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with hands-on electrical experience (or an applicable degree with experience), NEC knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5 years hands-on electrical/electronics experience.
• Associates degree, trade certification, or Bachelor's degree with relevant years of experience in electrical systems.
• Knowledge of NEC, safety codes, QA; ability to work with maintenance, engineering, and management.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work per order and expectations.
• Displays sense of urgency and care in their area of responsibility.
• Plans and prepares site work for larger project teams and manages subcontractors.
• Executes work with first-time-right approach and ensures on-time completion per quality standards.
• Troubleshoots equipment/systems failures and suggests corrective actions; escalates when needed.
• Travel 90-100% across the United States, with long-term assignments.
• Assist with data collection, reporting, and spare parts assistance as needed.
