Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician II to lead start-up, commissioning, and post-start-up field services for data center projects in the United States. You will travel frequently to customer sites, execute work per instructions, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

You will collaborate with Site Managers and senior technicians to resolve issues and drive improvements. The role requires strong electrical/electronics knowledge, NEC familiarity, and the ability to communicate

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NEC, safety codes and QA practices.
• Experience with electrical design and field service.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google apps is expected.
• Experience with Procore or equivalent project software is desirable.
• Familiarity with ABB/Siemens/Woodward automation tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead start-up, commissioning, and post-start-up field services in data centers.
• Travel 90-100% across the United States for projects.
• Coordinate with Site Manager and senior technicians on site tasks.
• Plan site work, manage subcontractors, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Record reports and test results using job-related software.
• Assist with spare parts orders and after-sales support.
• Maintain safety, quality, and environmental practices on site.
