Job summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling is seeking a Service Technician - Data Center Service to handle warranty related service issues on our Datacenter product line. Provide service, guidance and technical expertise to end users and outside sales representatives.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, ability to travel up to 85% of the time to client sites, and a strong background in HVAC/electromechanical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years' experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; HVAC servicing or similar electromechanical experience preferred.
• Ability to travel ~85% to various job sites for commissioning and warranty work.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans and manuals.
• Excellent customer service skills with the desire to exceed internal and external customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Commission, repair, and service mechanical and electrical equipment for Data Center Cooling projects.
• Review work orders, blueprints, diagrams to determine tasks, tools, equipment, and parts needed.
• Manage challenging jobs to mitigate customer impact while minimizing company costs; coordinate with owners, contractors, engineers and local servicers.
• Consult with engineering and manufacturing to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance.
• Provide superior customer service while maintaining professional appearance and demeanor.
• Advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and potential improvements.
