Job summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling is seeking a Service Technician – Data Center Service to service warranty issues and provide guidance on our Datacenter product line. You will support end users and outside sales reps with technical expertise.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical service, travel to multiple sites, and a focus on customer satisfaction. A high school diploma and 3–5 years in installation/maintenance are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years’ experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; HVAC servicing or similar electromechanical experience preferred.
• Ability to travel ~85% to various job sites for commissioning and warranty work.
• Superior analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
• Ability to stay on project through root cause analysis.
• Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed internal and external customer expectations.
• Ability to work independently, coordinating with outside technicians and following up on parts delivery.

Responsibilities

• Commission, repair, and service mechanical and electrical equipment for Data Center Cooling projects.
• Review work orders and schematics to determine tasks, tools, and parts needed.
• Manage complex jobs with multiple stakeholders to mitigate impact on the customer and cost to the company.
• Consult with engineering and manufacturing to resolve unusual system issues.
• Provide superior customer service while maintaining a professional appearance.
• Advise management on customer satisfaction and product improvements.
