Job summary

ITW Food Equipment Group LLC seeks a Service/Repair Technician II to provide on-site support for Hobart Service customers, including installation and service of commercial food equipment. The role requires troubleshooting ability, and readiness for on-call, after-hours, and weekend support.

The position emphasizes mechanical and electrical aptitude, safety compliance, and maintaining customer relationships while performing preventative maintenance and following standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–4 years electrical and mechanical experience.
• EPA HVACR certification or related HVACR experience.
• Associate degree or vocational certificate preferred.
• Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial cooking/refrigeration equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install mechanical and electrical commercial food equipment and assist in advanced installs as needed.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair basic mechanical equipment for customers (T&M).
• Interpret and follow schematic diagrams.
• Understand sequence of operations for multiple operating modes.
• Complete and document preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Follow Hobart Service safety manuals and programs.
• Provide a quality customer experience and support branch objectives.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment and industry trends.
