Job summary

ITW Food Equipment Group LLC provides on-site service and repair of commercial food equipment to Hobart Service customers. The Service/Repair Technician 2 installs, maintains, and repairs equipment at customer sites, with on-call, after-hours, and weekend work as required.

This role requires reading schematics, using basic hand tools and electrical meters, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Travel may be required to service multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–4 years electrical/mechanical experience, or HVACR service experience with EPA cert, or a vocational HVACR certificate.
• Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial cooking/refrigeration equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and follow service manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Installs mechanical and electrical commercial food equipment and assists in more advanced installs.
• Maintains, diagnoses, and repairs basic mechanical/commercial food equipment.
• Interprets schematic diagrams and follows safety procedures.
• Performs preventative maintenance and keeps records.
• Provides on-site support for Hobart Service customers, including after-hours and weekend work.
