Job summary

ITW Food Equipment Group LLC is seeking a Service/Repair Technician 2 to provide on-site support for Hobart Service customers, including installation, servicing, and preventive maintenance of commercial food equipment across on-site facilities and client sites.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, the ability to read schematics, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–4 years of electrical and mechanical experience, or
• HVACR service experience with EPA certification, or
• Vocational certificate in HVACR

Responsibilities

• Installs mechanical and electrical commercial food equipment and assists in more advanced installs as needed.
• Diagnoses and repairs basic mechanical equipment for customers under contract or time-and-material.
• Reads and interprets schematics to troubleshoot equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Adheres to Hobart Service safety manuals and SOPs.
• Maintains tools, vehicle, and inventory; supports branch objectives.
